This $90M project consisted of four new buildings necessary to relocate the airline belly cargo building, Facilities Maintenance Department (office and shops) and the fueling administration office in order to make way for the new SAN Terminal 1 redevelopment. CriticalArc was involved with the design process of the project as well as the construction inspections, functional testing, warranty management, and operational readiness. CriticalArc reported directly to the owner’s project management team at the San Diego Regional Airport Authority. This project lasted 1.5 years, earned a LEED Gold designation from the USGBC, and finished in 2019.
