About This Project

CriticalArc provided commissioning coordination and MEP manager and engineer support for the new construction, $1.6B MSC North addition to the Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT). This project features 12 new aircraft gates, including two gates to support not only Group VI aircraft such as the Airbus A380 and Boeing 747-8, but also more common Group V aircraft. The project also features two tunnels underneath the taxiway, connecting to TBIT; a passenger tunnel, and a utility tunnel. The commissioning scope included all MEP/F, special systems (EVIDS, DAS, VDGS, paging, etc.), VHT, security, fueling, and ramp services. CriticalArc was contracted to the joint venture, reporting directly to LAWA. The project finished on time in 2020 and earned a LEED Silver designation from the USGBC.
