Safety Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Manager to join our team. This role is unique as we are consultants on our projects and therefore this role will be navigating the nuances of working with both our team and clients with regards to safety. This is a remote-based position but requires regular travel to various job site projects to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. The Safety Manager will develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety policies, procedures, and training programs tailored to the unique challenges of construction environments. The role involves collaborating with clients, project managers, site personnel and employees to foster a culture of safety, ensuring regulatory compliance and reducing risks.

The base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $125,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. At CriticalArc, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety management role, preferably in construction, commissioning, or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and other relevant safety regulations

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently to job sites as required.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive safety programs and policies.
  • Conduct regular job site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company and regulatory safety standards.
  • Provide safety training, education, and guidance to employees and subcontractors.
  • Investigate and report on workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with project managers and field personnel to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate safety records and documentation.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all safety-related matters and emergency situations.
  • Develop and deliver safety reports and metrics to senior management

Travel:

This is a full-time, remote position, with frequent travel to all of our project sites.
