Commissioning Intern

CriticalArc is seeking a Commissioning Intern this summer to support a mission-critical project in Reno.

Our internship program is 10 weeks long, beginning in early June and running to mid-August. It is a paid internship, earning $25 per hour. This is a hands-on learning experience for current Juniors or Seniors that are interested in a career in the Commissioning field. During the internship, you are shadowing a current Commissioning Engineer and completing tasks assigned through the engineering team members producing project deliverables for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing aspects of a project from pre-commissioning through the commissioning and occupancy phases.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a BS degree program in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Creating project equipment lists from drawings, listing specified electrical, mechanical, lighting, and other building systems.
  • Review equipment lists, plans, specs, and other project documents to create Pre-functional Checklists and Functional Checklists; which assist the contractor and other engineering team members in the field to ensure equipment is installed and operating correctly.
  • Participate in the submittal process for MEP equipment.
  • Assisting in the drafting of reports to document work performed on the construction site.
